Capcom has announced thatResident Evil 4 remake has sold over eight million units, up from the 7.664 million figure revealed in July. The company celebrated the milestone with some new artwork, which features Leon, Ashley and Ingrid enjoying a day off, while Ada Wong is visible in the background.
Launched in March 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC, Resident Evil 4 remake is based on the 2005 survival horror shooter of the same name. It stars Leon S. Kennedy as he ventures to a remote village in Spain to rescue the US president’s daughter, Ashley Graham, from the Los Illuminados cult.
The remake retains many of the same set pieces as the original while introducing several new mechanics, like a parry system with knives. You can check out our review, where we gave it a ten out of ten, for more details. It also received a paid expansion, Separate Ways, which is also quite excellent. Both are included in Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition alongside other goodies. Head here for more information.
