The Redmi Note 11 series is now official. The successor to last year’s Redmi Note 10 series is finally here. There are four models this time with varying levels of specs and features. There are two vanilla Redmi Note 11 models and two Pro variants, one of which supports 5G networks. The models launching in India are expected to have the same features, but pricing could be different.
The Redmi Note 11and Redmi Note 11S are essentially differently equipped variants of the same phone. They both share the same 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution and a higher refresh rate of 90Hz and touch sampling rate of 180Hz. Brightness levels can go up to 700 nits and there’s Gorilla Glass 3. The phones have a mildly updated design with IP53 water resistance rating.
The Redmi Note 11 uses the power efficient Snapdragon 680 chip whereas the Note 11S gets a faster MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. The phone debut with MIUI 13 out of the box, with Android 11 underneath. The phones get NFC, dual speakers, 3.5mm jacks, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion. The phones rely on 5000mAh battery and support 33W fast wired charging.
The Redmi Note 11S has a 108MP HM2 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. The Redmi Note 11 has to make do with a regular 50MP main camera instead of a 108MP camera. The Note 11S also gets a 16MP selfie camera while the Redmi Note 11 only has a 13MP camera.
The Redmi Note 11 Pro duo are massive upgrades over the last generation Pro variants of the Redmi Note 10 series. Both the models feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, DCI-P3, and peak brightness levels of 1200 nits. There’s Gorilla Glass 5
