Redfall's Physical Release Seemingly Won't Include A Disk
According to a post on the Bethesda support site, Redfall's physical release won't come with a disk and will instead include an "Xbox Play Anywhere" code on Xbox and a Steam code for PC.
As pointed out by ResetEra user --R, a post on Bethesda's support site answers the question, "what codes do the physical versions of the Redfall come with?". Although you might think the answer will just be in reference to any pre-order bonuses or downloadable content, it turns out that it actually confirms that Redfall's physical release will just contain a code in the box.

The post reads, "The code contained in the physical PC copies of Redfall are Steam codes. The physical Xbox copies of Redfall are Xbox Play Anywhere codes which can played on both the Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Xbox App on PC". This hasn't been mentioned by Arkane, Bethesda, or Xbox up until now, but it's likely to be true since it's on Bethesda's official support site.
Although this is a shame for physical collectors, it hardly comes as a surprise for Redfall. Earlier this month, Arkane confirmed that players will need to have a constant internet connection to play Redfall, even if they're not playing with anyone else. As it has pretty much every time in the past, this was met with backlash from players, which doesn't seem to have done much.
Considering Microsoft's ongoing focus on Xbox Game Pass, if any of the big three is going to phase out physical releases, it's going to be Xbox. Still, Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 4 recently had physical releases with disks, so it's not entirely clear what direction the situation is going to go in right now.
