Now, one fan has found something at a Fence that could crack one of the game's mysteries wide open.
Red Dead Redemption 2 features a variety of side quests and mysteries for players to discover within the world, offering plenty of gameplay experiences outside the main story. Players can participate in unique activities with other members of the van der Linde gang, like robbing stagecoaches and fishing. Each town also features several NPCs that offer exclusive side quests, delving into the weird and wild underbelly of the game's cowboy world. A new discovery may have just made a major step towards solving one of Red Dead Redemption 2's most notorious mysteries.
Reddit user Schmiddyboy88 shared their discovery on the Red Dead Redemption subreddit, discovering something related to the mystery of Princess IKZ. Outside of the saloon in Van Horn, players can find a missing person poster for Princess Isabeau Katharina Zinsmeister of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Visiting the Fence in Van Horn saw the player find a chest within the shop, bearing the initials «IKZ» on the front. The user speculated that the Fence could somehow be involved with the mystery, either selling the stolen chest or somehow being connected to the disappearance.
Princess Isabeau's disappearance serves as one of Red Dead Redemption 2's longest-lasting mysteries, with no resolution reached after more than five years. The existence of the missing person poster suggests that Red Dead Redemption 2 initially had more planned for the missing princess.
