The NFL season is about to start cooking with about two weeks to go until players begin the treacherous nature of training camp. EA Sports announced last week that this week is officially Madden Ratings Reveal Week. Typically, the Overall 99 rated players are announced first, and EA has released its first rating for Madden NFL 24 today. Wide Receiver Justin Jefferson is officially in the 99 Club as the game will showcase all of his abilities in the game, which will make him a matchup nightmare playing against the Minnesota Vikings. Jefferson has balled out since being drafted from LSU while on the Vikings, and is a walking highlight film.
Justin Jefferson had a ridiculous season last year while paired with quarterback Kirk Cousins. He played all 17 games totally 128 receptions for 1809 yards, which amounts to 14.1 yards per reception. Both the receptions and yards stats are career highs, but he did see a drop in touchdown receptions as he only had eight. He had some monster games last year that started off in week 1 against Green Bay with nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Jefferson had ten different games last year where he totaled over 100 yards receiving, one of which was a season best 223 yards. He also had eight games totaling at least nine receptions, but was mostly quiet in the Vikings playoff loss against the Giants and in the last two games of the season.
The Vikings success during the regular season really came down to how much Jefferson was involved in the offense, and that is a big proponent of being included in the 99 Club.
