We try to keep an open mind here at Push Square, but we almost fell out of our chair when the following number came across our social media timeline. Blizzard, one of the world's biggest video game publishers, is trying to drum up hype for Overwatch 2's upcoming Season 13 by seemingly marketing directly to feet enthusiasts.
On X, the official Overwatch account posted the below to its 3.5 million followers, accompanied by the caption «Yatagarasu Kiriko has GRIPPERS???», before focusing on the altered feet of the character Kiriko. Further, the account urged fans to «drop a [foot emoji] if you're hyped for Kiriko's new skin in Season 13 [stars emoj]».
The official Overwatch Esports account tried to gas this play up, but the clip was overwhelmingly met with shock and bewilderment. Like all internet users, we've encountered some of the more out-there elements of the Overwatch fan community before, but as the kids say, posting this on main is wild.
