Jager isn't the most complete operator in Rainbow Six Extraction. He's not the most stealthy and he doesn't have the most offense. So why is it that players who have him unlocked and leveled up never want to use anyone else?

The answer is relatively simple. The hardest missions in Rainbow Six Extraction involve bosses, elites, and holdout points because it's impossible to hide from the enemies in these situations. When stealth isn't an option, Jager's mines, with the right loadout, have the opportunity to make these tough moments look easy.
It's alright to put Jager to the side and level up other operators first. He has access to his ideal weapon right away. The M870 has loads of stopping power which is important for scenarios in which mobs of aliens start overwhelming the squad.

Many go for one of the other automatic options here because they can be silenced, but that's a mistake for two reasons. The secondary weapon is much better in stealth situations and the shotgun just flat-out deals with mobs of opponents better.
It's hard to consider a handgun one of the best weapons in the game, but Jager's P12 deserves at least some consideration. It's a good thing the gun is so strong because it's the only option Jager gets for this slot. Thankfully, they make up for the lack of diversity by making this gun a beast.
Throw a silencer on there for stealth. Even with the reduced damage, the P12 can one-hit kill an enemy from across the map with a hit to a weak spot. This should be the main weapon used unless there is a swarm of alerted enemies.
