Warning! Spoilers ahead for Transformers: Beast Wars #12!
The lifeless body of the villainous Predacon Terrorsaur just underwent an experiment that will likely mirror Dinobot's twisted resurrection in the original Transformers: Beast Wars television show.
This latest move is keeping up with IDW Publishing's pattern of perfectly retconning some of the beloved '90s cartoon's very few shortcomings. Terrorsaur is unmistakably Beast Wars' version of the infamous Starscaream, and yet, Terrorsaur randomly fell and died in a lava pit (along with Scorpinok) at the end of the first season in what was an unfortunate oversight of the original TV show. The comic first rectified his unceremonious death by having Skold, a character whom Terrorsaur bullied mercilessly, murder him in cold blood, and now Tarantulas has obtained Terrorsaur's sparkless form and says that "there can be life beyond death" in Transformers: Beast Wars #12 by writer Erik Burnham, artist Josh Burcham and letterer Jake M. Wood.

This promised resurrection undeniably mirrors a key moment in the original TV series when Megatron decided to rebuild a new version of the late traitorous Dinobot who not only defected to the enemy Maximals but died trying to thwart one of his dastardly schemes. Because Dinobot's betrayal was based on the former Predacon's rather unfortunate obsession with honor, Megatron built what would become known as Dinobot II whose new sense of loyalty would surely supersede the unpleasantness that came with the original's honorable intent.
