We don't officially know a whole lot about Star Wars Eclipse. While it got a lengthy reveal trailer at The Game Awards last year, this was purely cinematic, and just capturing the tone Quantic Dream is going for with the ambitious project. However, thanks to an insider who has already proven reliable on the title, we have a better idea of what we're in store for.
According to AccountNGT, Eclipse will feature, of course, an interactive story. However, what's more surprising is that it will be open world and have multiplayer elements. It's also apparently drawing inspiration from The Last of Us, which may influence its combat sections.

The multiplayer mode will apparently be competitive rather than cooperative, so it isn't likely to connect to the main story. The combat will be similar to what we got in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and will mix story with violence in a way that's inspired by The Last of Us.
As for the story, it will be non-linear like Quantic Dream's previous work. The source stresses that this is the most ambitious game yet for the studio, featuring more characters than the team has even included in one title before.
The source notes that development only began last year, and given the scale of the project we probably shouldn't expect to get our hands on it anytime soon. This lines up we've what we've heard previously, when another insider claimed that we're not getting the game until 2027, due in part to unspecified problems faced during development.
