The news this week that Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts are officially teaming up with Lucasfilm Games to develop three new Star Wars games was an exciting announcement for many gamers. However, there was something conspicuously missing from the reveal, and that was any mention of DICE and the developer's previous Star Wars Battlefront series. It looks like any fans waiting patiently for Star Wars Battlefront 3 will be destined to be disappointed, as players won't be seeing that game any time soon, if at all. With the focus now shifting more firmly to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 and other titles, Star Wars Battlefront fans are left out.
But all is not lost. With three new Star Wars games still on the horizon, players who love the world of lightsabers, blasters, and bizarre aliens will have something to look forward to. In addition to the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Respawn will be working on a Star Wars strategy game as a co-production with new studio Bit Reactor, and a first-person shooter.
