Which Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel Free Packs Are Best (& Why)

Master Duel, and Konami’s latest free-to-play game makes it easy for players to build a deck without spending a cent. By progressing through the game’s Solo Mode or battling it out in Ranked Duels against online opponents, players can claim free cards, packs, Gems, and even entire Structure Decks to expand their card library quickly. With the variety of different packs available in the game, however, it can be difficult for players to decide which free packs to pull first.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel frequently rewards players with Legacy Tickets for winning Ranked and Solo duels, and these Tickets can be exchanged for free Legacy Packs in the Bonus Pack tab of the Shop. However, while these packs contain some of the most iconic cards from the Yu-G-Oh! TCG, each pack only contains two cards that can’t be dismantled, making it harder to get useful cards from these pulls. Legacy Packs are still worth picking up, especially since Legacy Tickets can’t be spent on anything else, but the best free packs in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel can be claimed by unlocking Secret Packs through the game’s card crafting system.

By crafting a Super Rare or Ultra Rare card in the deck editor, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel players can unlock the Secret Pack that rare card belongs to. Secret Packs contain cards from a specific deck archetype, making it much easier for players to pull the cards they need rather than pulling at random from Master Packs.
