Vigil is a terrifyingly stealthy operator compared to his counterparts in Rainbow Six Extraction. He can immediately cloak for a brief amount of time and disrupt any enemies from seeing him. After he gets leveled up, he provides this benefit to the team for a full fifteen seconds.

And yet it gets even better. With a unique loadout that is specialized for him and gadgets that amplify his ability, Vigil can do more than just be invisible. He can act as a scout and primary damage dealer for the squad, making him one of Rainbow Six Extraction's undisputed best operators.
Vigil's ideal weapons are flipped from most other operators. The usual setup is to have the primary weapon be loud and the secondary weapon be silenced. However, with two SMGs available as his secondary weapon, this means the primary weapon must be in charge of doing the covert work.

Thankfully, Vigil's signature shotgun, the Bosg12.2, is available soon and comes with a silencer on the front. Consider prioritizing Vigil as one of the operators to level up first to get access to it. Paired with his ability, he can get right in the face of an enemy, pull the trigger, and they'll never see it coming.
Since the secondary weapon will be used for when things go south, it's important to use one that can kill enemies as fast as possible. The second gun, the C75 Auto, is listed as an automatic pistol and yet is still somehow handles less accurately and does less damage than the starting SMG-12.
