Does a 30-second trailer that shows basically nothing but a target release window really count as a teaser? We're not so sure, but that's all we've got to work with when it comes to Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. The project, which has been stop-start for years now, was acknowledged during Ubisoft's summer showcase. The title is now aiming for a 2026 launch.
A couple of months back, it was reported that the remake was still a long way from release, and that's clearly true. We're a long way from the game's original 2020 announcement, and the wait's far from over.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Persona, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, Trails, Tales — he's played 'em all. A little too much, some might say.

Yeh ive given up hope on this.
It was always strange for me that they decided to put only their Indian studios to make this game, people from India are super talented when it comes to software but Prince of Persia was the face of the company before Assassins, it deserved heavy and experienced development power from the beginning.
Thankfully we've had two excellent Prince of Persia games this year, both of which are getting more content soon as well.
I know it's changed developer since it was announced (maybe several times), but by the time it comes out, it will have taken 6 years. By comparison, the Sands of time trilogy was released between 2003-2005, 1 a year. Will it sell enough to justify the development time? Probably not.
Was expecting a re-release of the old ones, but oh well
