Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness featured some exciting cameos that had been mostly kept a secret until the film’s global premiere. This included Anson Mount's Black Bolt, who appears as a member of the Illuminati in one of the many universes that Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange travels to along with Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez.
Mount shared a video of his first rehearsal for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The actor is seen wearing a safety harness and stunt wires and being dropped from a height to make the perfect landing. The actor probably had to wait months before being able to reveal the four-second clip, to ensure that the Black Bolt's appearance in the film remained a secret. While the Illuminati was mentioned in the trailers for the film, it wasn’t confirmed who the members were.

When arriving on the set of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Mount claimed to feel welcomed by “the incredible stunt team and producer Richie Palmer.” He joked about his appearance in the behind-the-scenes video, which is obviously not what his character looks like on screen. Prior to filming the scene featured in the most recent Marvel Studios outing, Mount must have undergone stunt rehearsals, which is where the video comes from.
This isn’t the first time that Mount has featured as the hero Black Bolt, though. The character’s first live-action appearance was featured in the series Inhumans and Mount portrayed the hero as part of it.
