New Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness concept art shows Charlize Theron's Clea using her powers. The superhero film, directed by Sam Raimi and based on the Marvel Comics, serves as a sequel to 2016's Doctor Strange and follows its titular character as he seeks to protect America Chavez from Wanda Maximoff, who intends to take her ability to travel the multiverse to reach her children. After much anticipation following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home and WandaVision, the movie had its premiere on May 6, 2022. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Xochitl Gomez, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Rachel McAdams.
Heading into Multiverse of Madness, fans of the MCU were already expecting a number of cameos, but Charlize Theron's surprise appearance as Clea in the mid-credits scene now has many excited for the future of Doctor Strange. A popular character in the comics, Clea is a powerful sorceress from the Dark Dimension, known for being the daughter of Umar and niece of Dormammu, who Strange defeats in the 2016 film using the Time Stone. At the end of Multiverse of Madness, Clea approached Stephen and warned him that he had created an incursion before asking for his help to fix it.

Now, visual designer and concept artist, John Staub, is sharing the final approved design for Theron's Clea on his Instagram. The images include the character using her powers, with purple-colored magic emitting from her hands, and Staub writes that he was "thrilled" to work on this look. The concept art also shows Clea in her purple and black costume from Multiverse of Madness. Check out the photos below:
