All six original Avengers loom over their respective MCU Phase 4 replacements in new Marvel fan art. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in a transition period after the culmination of the Infinity Saga. While the next crossover event still isn't clear, Kevin Feige has started to lay the groundwork for it, including setting up the next generation of the Avengers.
Looking back at the MCU's history, Phase 1 was fairly straightforward with the introduction of all six original Avengers withthe 2012 movie serving as the culmination of the franchise's first several years. Over time, the roster expanded with the addition of Wanda Maximoff, Vision, War Machine, and Falcon as seen inAvengers: Age of Ultron. This line-up didn't really stick, however, as Captain America: Civil War broke up the team. It wasn't until Avengers: Endgame that everyone got back together to fight Thanos. Moving forward, a new generation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will inevitably re-assemble.
