Nintendo and Game Freak announced that Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will be getting two expansion packs that will launch at some point in 2023 earlier this year, though details surrounding them have been fairly slim since their initial reveal. However, today's new Pokemon Presents showcase has finally given us a release date for the first DLC expansion called The Teal Mask, as well as our first look at the land of Kitakami in which the expansion takes place.
On top of that, we also got a look at two new characters you'll meet on your new adventure called Carmine, Kieran, and Perrin. We also got to see another form of Applin called Dipplin who looks a lot like candy apple, as well as a lot of different minigames that have you going through rings while riding your Pokemon. Best of all, we got a release date for the expansion too, which will launch next month on September 13.

We also got information on the second DLC expansion, that being The Indigo Disk, which will take players to Blueberry Academy, an underwater school with a focus on Pokemon battling. The Teal Mask is the first Scarlet & Violet DLC out of the gates, but that doesn't mean Nintendo was shy about sharing more details on its second expansion. We learnt that the The Indigo Disk will have you taking on a group of kids called the BB Club, we got to see a new form for Duraludon, as well as some of the characters you'll meet throughout the DLC. No release date for this one though, as it's still set for Winter 2023.
Besides the information we got today, prior reveals regarding The Teal Mask DLC has shown us that it will introduce at least three new Pokemon, those being Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. We
