Starfield has gone gold, per Bethesda Game Studios on Twitter. It means that principle development is wrapped, and it’s being sent for disc manufacturing. Xbox Game Studios head Matt Booty says it has the fewest bugs of any Bethesda game yet, but you can bet there will be a day-one patch.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for preloads, which start tomorrow, August 17th, for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Windows Store. Steam players can start preloading on August 30th. Though its exact size on console hasn’t been confirmed, the sci-fi RPG will require 125 GB of installation space on PC.
Starfield launches on September 6th and is playable on day one for Game Pass. Those who own the Premium Edition can start playing on September 1st.
