It turns out, no matter how much it may feel against us, RNG truly is just RNG — at least when it comes to loot drops. Recently, players took to Reddit to discuss the possibility of loot drops being influenced by outside sources and not solely by RNG. In one thread which picked up quite a bit of steam, players shared anecdotal evidence and experiences of entering a World Tier for the first time and immediately receiving high item power drops, then not seeing more for dozens of levels — and some speculation focused on the contents of your inventory and stash influencing these drops. There is a rumor in asia server right now, a chinese player claimed, the game server scans players' inventory and stashes, in this case, legendary items or rares with 800+ item power, to adjust that player's droprate of that same kind of items they can get in dungeons, at least this is what that player accused.Global Community Development Director Adam Fletcher weighed in on the discussion, soundly debunking the theory. While some players may have better luck than others and receive great drops right off the bat, RNG is RNG — sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't.
