It now appears that the company has been working on a foldable tablet, and we could learn more about it in the future.
Based on information obtained from an interview with The Independent, it turns out that Samsung mobile chief T.M. Roh talked about how the company is currently working on foldable tablets as well as laptops, which spells great news for anyone who wants the foldable devices to be on the next level.
Talking to the source, Roh said the following,
“People open up a book to read and open up a notebook to write something. When they’re not being used or when on the move and they can be folded shut, which makes them more compact and portable, as well as protecting important information inside. It’s just a natural part of human behavior."
He further confirmed that the company is currently working on such a device.
"What has been applied to the smartphone will then spread to the tablet and laptops as well. To that end, we at Samsung are investing a lot of resources.”
Roh further confirmed that the company is currently working on preparing the "foundation technology" for both foldable tablets and laptops and will launch these devices when they are “ready to provide meaningful innovation to consumers.”
