Pokemon holds a good amount of nostalgia for many fans as they have been playing the series for years. A good number of gamers started with the first generation of the franchise and can recall having to choose between the first three starter Pokemon: Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. Pokemon Red and Blue are classics in their own right and started a worldwide phenomenon.
This has led to a lot of players showing their love for the older Pokemon titles by creating pieces of art inspired by them. A lot of great works by artists keep the memory of the early generations alive through the use of their imaginations. One gamer is doing this by slowly but surely building the Kanto region out of LEGOs.

A Redditor going by the name Buscags1 posted an image of Route 2 from Pokemon Red and Blue that they built out of LEGOs. The piece is spot on, capturing all the aspects of the area from the games. Buscags1 included Viridian Forest, which is located on Route 2, as well as the entrance to Diglett's Cave. They also added the gate that allows players to bypass the forest and the building containing an in-game trade.

The LEGO version of Route 2 is only part of the project that Buscags1 is currently working on. The Redditor has already completed a chunk of the Kanto region, including Pallet Town and Route 1. The user intends to also build out the Johto region from Pokemon Gold and Silver and connect them together as one big piece.
