The world of Pokemon occasionally mashes with other universes through Pokemon fan art, which has become a staple of the franchise since its inception in the 90s. One Pokemon player with artistic ability has decided to create fan art that imagines Disney's Mulan as a Pokemon trainer with an emphasis on Water-type Pokemon that resemble characters from Mulan.
Reddit user Micahrem recently posted their Pokemon fan art, which shows Mulan standing alongside a Pokemon that draws heavy inspiration from the small dragon in the original Mulan film, Mushu. The drawing also features an image of the animated Mulan next to her small sidekick in the top-left corner to show that Micahrem is basing their fan art on the first Mulan released in 1998 rather than the live-action counterpart that came out in 2020. Like most other Pokemon trainers the anime and videogames are based around, Mulan as a Pokemon trainer looks like a youngster compared to her movie adaptation.
