Pokemon Anime Clip Shows Two Eevees Meeting Each Other
The Pokemon games are responsible for the creation of all the creatures that fans have come to love, but the anime can't be ignored. The long-running series has been active since 1997, and there have been plenty of times where the anime has introduced characteristics or behaviors of Pokemon that have been absent from the games, or underdeveloped.
One Pokemon that's seen a lot of its character built up courtesy of the anime is Eevee. The creature has been around since Gen 1, and it's left a charming impression on fans since its original introduction where Ash learns about evolving Pokemon with an elemental stone, and Eevee's unique ability to evolve into multiple forms is revealed.
Pokemon Fan Makes Custom Eevee Ground-Type Evolution
That episode came out many, many years ago, but Eevee hasn't disappeared from the show since. Eevee appears from time to time, and made an appearance in the Sun and Moon anime, and a fan has shared a clip of how Eevee react when they meet another one of their species.
In the clip, two Eevee eagerly approach a bowl of food that's been set out for them before coming face-to-face with the other Pokemon. After a brief stare, the two lean in and sniff each other's tails, and then sweetly bump their heads against each other and happily chitter. It's a cute reference to Eevee's similarities to real-world animals like cats, foxes, and dogs, which regularly investigate and identify one another by scent.
While the Pokemon anime helped to flesh out and add characterization to the 151 original Pokemon in scenes like this one with Lana's Eevee, the games have come a long way since.
