PlayStation Plus subscribers are in for a treat this weekend as Sony opens the floodgates for the early-access beta test of the highly-anticipated. Revealed during the last major PlayStation livestream event, many have begun speculating that the hero shooter, developed by Firewalk Studios, may be the game to usurp as the dominant title in the genre. Some of the gameplay trailers suggest a decent amount of production has gone into bringing 's roster of characters to life, so those with a piqued interest can finally get a taste of the action.
Per the official PlayStation Blog, the company confirmed that it was changing the conditions of 's early access beta: Previously, only those who pre-ordered the game could access the trial but it has now been opened up to all PlayStation Plus subscribers. Those who want to check out 's take on hero-shooters can leap into battle from July 12 and play as much as they want until July 14. The three modes offered in the early access beta include Trophy Hunt, Cargo Run, and Clash Point all of which will require unique strategies to claim victory.

Firewalk Studios and PlayStation have made it explicitly clear that this early version of is not the game in the finished state and that the early access beta is being used to both test the servers ahead of the full launch and to provide the developers with some key insight on the current state of the game. All 16 of the game's heroes, known as Freegunners, will be available for everyone over the weekend so users needn't worry about grinding to unlock the full roster. Four maps will also be included: Freewater, Star Chamber, Water Hazard, and Shock Risk.
