Anyone who's spent time playing will be quick to acknowledge that moving around New Atlantis can be a pain but fortunately,a recently-released mod should make the tedium a little better. Hailed as one of the game's biggest cities, New Atlantis is bustling with NPCs desperate to hand out quests to players who happen to walk past. The space can be difficult to navigate, even with the addition of a functional minimap, so a means of immersive fast travel feels almost like a necessity.
Posted to Nexus Mods by creator TheMilkArtist, the «New Atlantis Subway» mod makes for quick and easy transportation around the sprawling world and adds more depth to the city. With the mod installed, players will be able to use three subway platforms that allow them to access the Spaceport District, Commerical District, and Residential District by simply hopping aboard a train. Since there are only a handful of Transit trains around the city, having more options available for fast travel makes exploring the map significantly more efficient.
Out of all of the cool features in Starfield, there's one rare end-game encounter that is one of the coolest and simultaneously severely lacking.
While fast traveling isn't essential to move around New Atlantis given the city's interconnected nature, it certainly helps players avoid what's a fairly dull locale. Despite placing so much emphasis on establishing New Atlantis as a city of the future, the metropolis is actually sparse in terms of content with wide stretches of space feeling empty and wasted outside of a few collections of stores. One can easily make their way from one end of the city to the other without triggering a loading screen, but the process is flat and dull, especially when compared to other cities.
