LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule has announced that it is ending support for its video game creation system Dreams on September 1, 2023. This is because the team is shifting its "focus to an exciting new project".
As stated in its blog post, you'll still be able to play, create, and share projects after support is pulled, but there won't be any more updates. To do this, Dreams will migrate to a new server in late May, which means that there will be a new storage limit of up to 5GB, though existing creations will not count toward this.

You'll also be able to delete creations once the server has migrated, as archiving will be removed as a feature. Any archived creations you have will be added back to your saved creations where you can choose to delete them.
Media Molecule also announced that Dreams will be removing Twitch integration, the audio importer (though there are plans to restore it before October), the Creative Imp quests, Message of the Day, and Friends Scoreboards. There is also now a limit of 15 photos before saving, and you must decide if they are saved online or locally. If you upload a photo, the local version will be deleted.
For anyone who wants to get into Dreams in the wake of this news to see what it's about, the trial is being removed, so you'll need to buy the full game. It's currently available for £34.99 on the PlayStation Store, and if you want a taster of what's possible in it, fans have imagined Jak & Daxter and Silent Hill remakes using its toolkit.
