Warhammer 40K Gladius has introduced the Drukhari (or Dark Eldar) as its 11th playable faction via a new DLC released by publisher Slitherine.
The DLC features concepts like «Power from Pain,» where units gain stacking bonuses as pain spreads across the battlefield, and «Combat Drugs,» allowing infantry units to trade hit points for combat buffs. The Drukhari's lore, centered around sustaining cursed souls through inflicting pain, is reflected in gameplay elements such as gaining influence by harvesting the souls of the dead.
To celebrate the DLC launch, Slitherine is running a sale through December 5, offering a massive 90% discount on the base game and discounts ranging from 10% to 40% on expansions, including a 40% discount on the new faction DLC packs.
Warhammer 40K Gladius originally released in 2018 and has been supported with numerous DLC throughout the years, including the expansion of its roster with the Drukhari being the latest example. Fans of the 40K IP who love turn-based strategy and 4X games can pick up Warhammer 40K Gladius on Steam for a mere $3.99 during this latest sale, though the game’s complete edition will still set you back almost $90.
