PixelJunk Eden 2 will be coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year.
The news was announced by Q-Games CEO Dylan Cuthbert in a post on the official PlayStation Blog.
PixelJunk Eden 2 was originally released on the Switch in 2020, but hasn’t been made available on any other platform since.
The entire first run of PixelJunk games – Racers, Monsters, Eden, Shooter, Shooter 2, SideScroller, 4am and Nom Nom Galaxy – ran from 2007 to 2015 and were all exclusive to PlayStation consoles at launchm, with some later getting PC ports.
It was only when the second ‘series’ of games started in 2018 that games started appearing on other systems, such as Switch and Apple Arcade.
The original PixelJunk Eden, which was exclusive to PS3, and saw players controlling Grimps, small creatures who attach themselves to plans and can spin and jump from them.
The PS5 version of Eden 2 will feature full 4K visuals and make use of the DualSense controller’s unique functionality.

“In PixelJunk Eden 2 the DualSense light bar reacts to changes in the current level, creating your very own personal light show for each unique environment,” Cuthbert explains.
“And exploring the world of Eden has never felt better thanks to extensive use of the unique vibration features, punctuating every swing and jump with immersive haptic feedback.
“We’ve also utilised the gyro sensor to provide precision control and collecting pollen rewards you with dynamic vibrations to mark your achievements.”
