Pikmin 4 launched for the Nintendo Switch last week, and though Pikmin hasn’t necessarily been a historically big seller for Nintendo, it has, nonetheless, kept its dedicated fanbase waiting for its next mainline entry for quite some time. That, it seems, has resulted in a solid debut for the game where UK retail is concerned.
That’s as per GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring, who recently shared on Twitter that Pikmin 4 has debuted on top of the weekly UK physical charts for the week, and that its sales are 45% higher than what Pikmin 3 Deluxe managed upon its launch for the Nintendo Switch in 2020. Of course, given the significant share of sales that usually tends to be digital for most games, this isn’t necessarily a full picture of what the game’s launch has been like, but it does give pretty good indication that it’s got off to a solid start.
Pikmin 4 is available on the Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for our review of the game in the coming days.
