Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio are coming to the Nintendo Switch‘s successor, according to an Atlus insider.
The modernised remake of Persona 3 is set for release on February 2, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Persona modder MeovvCAT shared a recent Atomix article on X in which Atlus stated that it was agreed from the beginning of development that it never had any plans to release Persona 3 Reload on the Switch.
According to the article, Atlus says it noted fan demand for a Switch version and is now “discussing it with the team”.
Atlus insider @MbKKssTBhz5, who has a strong track record for leaking previous information, then replied: “Because P3R will be on the next Nintendo hardware. And Metaphor too.”
@MbKKssTBhz5 had previously accurately leaked the announcement date for Persona 3 Reload and the game’s title, as well as the title, gameplay information and DLC details for Persona 5 Tactica.
Persona 3 Reload is a remake of the 2006 RPG which was originally released on PS2.
“Play the game like never before with a revamped battle system, cutting-edge graphics and gameplay and enhanced audio,” Atlus’s description of Persona 3 Reload reads.
Metaphor: ReFantazio was originally announced as Project Re Fantasy back in 2016, and is the first original RPG by Studio Zero.
The developer consists of previous contributors to the Megami Tensei franchise, including director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima and composer Shoji Meguro, all of whom had the same roles on Persona 3, 4 and 5.
