The official trailer and first-look images have been revealed for the upcoming Peacock series Killing It. Peacock, which is NBC's house streaming service, provides users with a combination of classic series from the network including The Office and Parks and Recreation, premium VOD movie releases like Halloween Kills and The Boss Baby: Family Business, and original shows. Although many of the series have failed to capture the cultural conversation, including the recently canceled Da Vinci Code spinoff The Lost Symbol, their new original comedies have been performing well, including the music industry satire Girls5eva and the high school sitcom reboot Saved by the Bell. NBCUniversal and Comcast are reportedly $1.7 billion in the red because of Peacock, but their plan to make up for it by pouring more money into content creation is clearly still going strong.
Their newest impending series, Killing It, comes from Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, the co-creator and producer of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Although that series was originally created by Fox, the network canceled it after season 5, when it was picked up by NBC to run for 3 more seasons before airing its finale in 2021. Although the series had run its course, NBC clearly wants to hold onto the creators and harness more of the magic that made that series such a fan favorite. Killing Itis set to premiere on Peacock in April 2022.
