In Patch 10.1, players will be able to upgrade their crafted gear to much higher item levels! Depending on the Optional Reagents that they use, they will be able to craft an item with an item level as high as 447.
Season 2 Item LevelsPlayers will be required to use the new Spark, Spark of Shadowflame, to craft Season 2 items. This Spark is currently crafted by combining two Splintered Spark of Shadowflame. This recipe has already changed once before, so it is possible that it may change again. As of PTR right now, we know that we can obtain these Splintered pieces through a new Questline, The Power of the Whole, that is similar to the Engine of Innovation one. Good News! In addition to the Spark, there are two new Crests that are the direct replacements to the Primal Infusions from Season 1: Enchanted Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest and Enchanted Aspect's Shadowflame Crest. These Crests share the same Recipe Difficulty as before so crafters should not have a harder time producing pieces with these selected. The Enchanted Crests are crafted by Enchanters using the Looted Non-Enchanted versions, Wyrm's Shadowflame Crest and Aspect's Shadowflame Crest.
