In anticipation for its upcoming Early Access phase,Pantheon: Rise of theFallen released a roadmap for features that'll be coming before and during the EA drop.
The roadmap graphic by Visionary Realms gives vague ideas as to what’s in the works—and hopefully what will be released in the coming months before Early Access arrives. Already, Necromancer is in the servers, even if that’s listed as October, so we guess they’re technically ahead of schedule now.
This graphic also shows that the team is trying to push a few things as soon as possible in the current playtest Seasons. This includes the new Human, Dark Myr, Halfling and Elf races, a new Silent Plains Zone, and improved animations and spell VFX. It also looks like they’re on the path towards new armor models this month.
On November 8, the Pantheon playtest servers will open one last time for all pledges to join. Then, on December 1, all servers for all pledges will be taken down in preparation for the full-fledged Early Access update. That will be only a few weeks’ wait, hopefully, as Pantheon promises Early Access to be released in the “holiday season.”
Once Early Access drops, the chart shows quite a few more things that’ll be implemented. It promises an “improved starting experience,” “basic player customization,” a revamped “boss encounter system” and the bug-squashing that the server takedown is meant to address. Eastern Plains/Wild’s End and “more Perception dialogue and interactions” (with “Perception” misspelled, but it’s the name of the system) is vaguely promised for November/December with overlap, meaning it might show up in Early Access instead of the November updates.
Of course, there’s also the handy-dandy, slightly-vague official Production Tracker Trello page if you’re curious about what exactly is coming down the pipeline. I haven’t been able to figure out what “PEAP” means, though, so if anyone has insights on that, drop a comment below.
