A Palworld Pokémon mod is inbound even though the new hit title doesn't officially support mods at this stage.
Pocketpair's Palworld is off to an amazing start with the game topping Steam charts, and surpassing concurrent player peaks of numerous AAA titles. As revealed by the game's developer earlier today, the 'Pokemon with guns' title managed to sell over 5 million copies and merely three days, and it doesn't seem things are slowing down at this point. Over the past few days, there have been several complaints that Pocketpair's title is a bit too much a Pokemon clone, albeit with armory. Not too surprisingly, a player has now already made a working Pokémon mod for the game featuring Ash, Pikachu, and various other Pokémon into the game.
On X, Palworld player 'ToastedShoes', has uploaded a short video of the mod in action. In the post, the user adds that a full video of this exciting Palworld Pokémon mod will be released tomorrow. We've included this short video below:
This is a rather impressive mod, which will appeal to many players around the world. We can imagine that this mod will spark interest in Pocketpair's game even more. As said, in its current early-access phase, Palworld doesn't officially support mods, but Pockpair plans to add official mod support later on. "Steam Workshop support won't be supported straight away but we plan to add it after launch", the developer writes in the game's Steam FAQ. "Palworld is made in Unreal Engine 5 and we look forward to seeing what sort of mods people come up with!"
Palworld is available globally now for PC and Xbox Series through Steam and Game Pass. We've included some of the game's main features below:
