New images from the Apple TV+ series Pachinko reveal its main cast, along with the announcement of its premiere date of March 25. The series will be headed by Oscar-winning actor Youn Yuh-jung, who came to global prominence after her acclaimed performance in 2020's Minari. The cast will be rounded out by a primarily Korean and Japanese cast including Lee Min-ho, Jin Ha, Anna Sawai, and Kaho Minami.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Min Jin Lee, Pachinko will follow four generations of a Korean family living in Japan from 1910 to 1989, including Japan's occupation of Korea and the Second World War. Yuh-jing will play the oldest version of protagonist Sunja, whose journey to Japan will highlight the racial tensions of the period. Pachinko will be run by Soo Hugh, who previously wrote for The Terror on AMC.

Now, AVClub has shared images from the set of the Pachinko series, revealing a first look at the series' main characters, including those played by Yuh-jing and Min-ho. It was also confirmed that the series will have performances in Korean and Japanese, as well as English, given that sections of the novel are set in the United States. Pachinko will premiere its first three episodes on March 25, then stream one new episode weekly until its finale on April 29. Check out the images below.
