Overwatch 2 is bringing several new things to the table, ranging from a full PvE campaign to a massive switch to 5v5 gameplay for PvP. Overwatch 2 will also see new character designs for each hero, and the latest one revealed is for Roadhog — though fans have only gotten a very brief look at it.
This split second showing of Roadhog’s Overwatch 2 redesign is a far cry from how the others have been revealed, as Blizzard has hyped up the other new looks quite a bit. Fans have gotten a chance to see proper comparison videos that showcase the visual changes being made to heroes like Lucio, Widowmaker, and Mei. While Roadhog may eventually get his own social media post that provides a good look at his new aesthetic, fans can get a brief glimpse of it in one of the newOverwatch 2 trailers.
Overwatch Almost Released Sojourn Early
As pointed out by Dexerto, the deep dive video for Sojourn features the hero sliding under Roadhog’s hook and leaping over the Tank’s head. If players pause and take a look at the bulky hero when he appears at the 5:37 mark, they should be able to notice some significant changes to his appearance. For starters, his hook is a bit less metallic, swapping out the silver with a black design that has some brownish accents in the ridges of the chain. As for the hero himself, the changes are minor but plentiful.
The new version of Roadhog dons a torn-up jacket, and while his stomach is still on full display, he sports a bit more clothing on his upper half. This jacket also seems to have a fur collar and a piece of red shoulder armor. This red accent is seen on Roadhog’s Scrap Gun as well, as the barrel is lined with the color red.
