Oppenheimer Set Photos Reveal Casey Affleck Is Cast In New Nolan Movie
Photos taken on the set of Oppenheimerreveal that Casey Affleck may have been cast in the upcoming Christopher Nolan movie. Nolan, the filmmaker behind Inception, Interstellar, and The Dark Knight Trilogy, has recently been focusing on historical dramas such as Dunkirk. Oppenheimeris Nolan’s latest film, set to be released summer of 2023. It focuses on the true-life story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American physicist who became known as “the father of the atomic bomb.” The movie is based on the biography American Prometheuswritten by Martin J. Sherwin and Kai Bird. Oppenheimer is played by Cillian Murphy, alongside Emily Blunt, who plays his wife Kitty Oppenheimer. Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, and Benny Safdie have also joined the star-studded cast.
Affleck is an award-winning actor known for his performances in Manchester by the Sea, Gerry, and Ain’t Them Bodies Saints. He has won two Academy Awards, including Best Actor for his role in Manchester by the Sea. Affleck and Nolan have worked together before when Affleck played Matthew McConaughey’s grown-up son in Interstellar. Since then, Affleck has starred in movies like The World To Come and Every Breath You Take.

Based on set photos released by the Daily Mail, Affleck's next film looks to be Nolan's Oppenheimer.In the photos, he is wearing some kind of uniform, with a brown long sleeve shirt tucked into slacks with a matching tie and belt. No official details about Affleck’s role have been released, with the only available information about his involvement in the film being the photo from the set.
