Michelle Pfeiffer signs on to star in the upcoming feature, Wild Four O’Clocks. The 64-year-old actress is perhaps best known for her roles in Scarface and Dangerous Liaisons, earning a Golden Globe in 1989 for her part in The Fabulous Baker Boys. Most recently, Pfeiffer featured as Betty Ford in the new Showtime anthology series The First Lady, also starring Viola Davis and Gillian Anderson. She returns to the big screen in 2023 as she reprises the role of Janet Van Dyne in Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
News of Pfeiffer’s latest casting in Wild Four O'Clocks was confirmed in an article from Variety. The announcement came ahead of the film’s official launch on the Cannes Market before the 2022 festival begins on May 17. Though details surrounding her Wild Four O'Clocks character are sparse, it is understood that Pfeiffer will portray a vibrant, larger-than-life grandmother.

Wild Four O’Clocks will serve as the directorial debut of Peter Craig, best known for co-writing the script for The Batman and his contribution to Top Gun: Maverick. The 52-year-old, also credited for his writing on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and Part 2, is slated to pen the script for Ridley Scott’s upcoming Gladiator sequel. Marc Platt (La La Land, Bridge of Spies) and Adam Siegel (Drive, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World) are producing the new film, with Protagonist Pictures handling international sales.
