Fans of One Piece who are still trying to cope with the fact that One Piece will be on hiatus for a whole month can rejoice: the «Road to Laugh Tale» special will be published on Weekly Shonen Jump while One Piece is absent, bringing to readers notes and sketches from Eiichiro Oda himself, detailing ideas that could not find their way into the story (yet). This special will cover some of the biggest mysteries of the series, including the Rocks Pirates and the possible location of the very last Road Poneglyph needed to find the route to Laugh Tale and the One Piece treasure waiting there.
After the end of the momentous Wano Arc, One Piece's author Eiichiro Oda announced that the series would go on a one-month hiatus to give him to prepare for what will be the final part of his amazing story. Oda, in fact, also said that after the pause One Piece will enter its final saga (a narrative cycle composed of several arcs), which will bring the series to its conclusion. Fans were at the same time distressed by the long pause, but also excited for what is to come in the future. The last time that Oda took such a long break was for the «two years time-skip», a huge turning point in the manga. Their excitement only grew when it was announced that, during the hiatus, Weekly Shonen Jump would publish the Road to Laugh Tale special, and even more after some of the topics covered in the special have been disclosed.
