When Star Trek: Bridge Crew launched in 2017, it caused a bit of a stir. Developed by Red Storm Entertainment, and published by Ubisoft, the game released on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Oculus Quest. Yes, Bridge Crew is a VR game but it was one of the best VR titles of that year (it was later modified so that it could be played outside of VR) and also one of the best Star Trek games.
It was named among the top 50 games of 2017 by multiple media publications, and nominated for several awards including Best VR Game at both the Golden Joystick Awards and The Game Awards. But Star Trek: Bridge Crew could now be losing its place in history as reports indicate that the game is being removed from online game stores.

The cause of the delisting appears to be due to licensing issues. Ubisoft has a licensing agreement with Paramount Pictures and CBS Studios that could be expiring, according to reports by Delisted Games. Currently, Star Trek: Bridge Crew is available on the PS Store, in most Western territories, while PC gamers can purchase the game via Ubisoft's official store. However, Bridge Crew is no longer available on either Steam or Oculus stores, and nor is its DLC.
Bridge Crew took place after the events established in the 2009 Star Trek film directed by J.J. Abrams, with Starfleet ship USS Aegis looking for a new homeworld for the Vulcans after Vulcan is destroyed. As the game's subtitle indicated, players could assume different leadership roles and could play as either captain, tactical office, engineer, or helm officer.
