PlayStation Fan Shows Off Awesome PS5-Themed Birthday Cake
PlayStation's newest console has been hard to come by since it came out due to shortages of materials, but it still has its fans. One lucky fan received a PS5 themed cake for his birthday from his girlfriend.
Sony's 5th iteration of its PlayStation console was released back in November 2020. Following its release, it has faced scalpers reselling them for way higher than the MSRP. Many complications from the Covid-19 pandemic involving parts used to make the console have caused delays, as well. To this day stock of PS5 consoles is sometimes hard to find, but it is a bit easier than it used to be.

Reddit user showdown311 shared an image of a PS5 themed birthday cake he received from his girlfriend. The cake was made by his girlfriend's friend and features a circular cake coated in blue fondant matching the signature PlayStation blue, smaller pieces of fondant made into the symbols found on a PlayStation controller placed all over the blue cake, and the white PlayStation logo on the front. On the top of the cake, there is a replica of a white PS5 controller made out of rice crispie treats and the silver-colored platform holding the cake has writing that reads «Happy Birthday Matt.»
The little details like the familiar blue color, the edible PS5 controller, and the signature PlayStation symbols on the cake are a nice touch. The cake captures the PlayStation and PS5 theme very well even though it is slightly simple in design. It shows the true love this fan has for the console that had prompted his girlfriend to want to get this cake for him on his birthday.
