Heavy weapons in tend to be, well, heavy, so wrangling the big guns and ammunition often makes the pace of a mission collapse into a crawl. There's no better example of this than dealing with the SEAF artillery sites, which use heavy shells that have to be lugged in to load by hand. Not only is this a chore, but it also leaves any player attempting to move shells especially exposed to fire, and it can quickly become an all-too dangerous strategy if the rest of a squad fails to cover them properly.
It turns out that the key to moving shells more quickly in is actually to drop them. The dropping animation immediately starts to speed up a player's movement once the shell is out of their hands, but it's possible to continually pick up shells before they even hit the ground and keep moving. Consequently, shuffling along while dropping ammunition over and over is the quickest way to prep an artillery gun, no matter how silly it might look to an observer who isn't in the know.
A total of five shells can be loaded into an SEAF cannon, with five different kinds that are indicated by the color and shape of the shells. Yellow shells either deal weak damage but leave smoke screens, or are Mini Nukes, blue ones add electrical fields to standard damage, and red ones are either high explosive or napalm shells.
