All of this current whispering stems from David Jaffe, the outspoken ex-PlayStation developer who hosts regular discussions on his YouTube channel. Jaffe's latest show, which aired less than 24 hours ago at the time of writing, is all about PlayStation showcase rumours and expectations. As spotted by Reddit users, Jaffe brings up the long, long, long rumoured Bloodborne revival in the latter half of the video, and his words suggest that it's really happening.
Now, to be fair to Jaffe, he doesn't claim any direct knowledge of the supposed project — but him talking like it's real has been enough to spark all kinds of fresh speculation online. For the record, these Bloodborne remake / remaster rumours have been doing the rounds for years — but there's never been any real evidence to back them up. Would a return to Bloodborne make sense for Sony, which published the game originally? Definitely, given its popularity and commercial success, but it's been eight years since the action RPG first graced us with its presence, and that's a long time to go without any clear hints.
