Frontier Developments has announced that F1 Manager 2023 will launching on 31st July across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC. Here’s a quick gameplay overview trailer:
Launching on 31st July, F1 Manager 2023 will be arriving just in time to fill the Formula One void that is felt during the mandatory summer break in August. The last race before the break will be the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps on 30th July, with the first race back being the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort on 27th August. That’s four achingly long weeks for any F1 fan (though it might not be so keenly felt this year given Red Bull’s dominance).
F1 Manager 2023 will build on the foundations of Frontier’s first motorsport management sim. The game will feature the full 2023 season with 23 races and 6 sprint races included as a part of that. However, alongside that is the new Race Replay mode, which will feature key moments from this year’s races and let you try to rewrite events.
Pre-orders will gain three exclusive Race Moments including one for the race on the Las Vegas Strip, while the Deluxe Edition will get twelve unique Starting Grids and Race Moments in the Exclusive Scenarios Pack. I think we’ll need to wait and see how big a deal these are for the full game, but expect a few noses to be put out of joint for this kind of locked content.
New for the career in F1 Manager 2023 is the Sporting Director role, which will give you deeper management of the pit crew and the training schedule, so you can try to eke out every 10th of a second and avoid pit stop errors.
