NVIDIA's first batch of its highly-anticipated Blackwell DGX GB200 AI servers is expected to drop into markets by 2025, starting the next gold rush in the industry.
The NVIDIA Blackwell-based "DGX GB200" AI servers are expected to pave the way for the next gold rush in the markets, instead, this hype would only be for NVIDIA to benefit. With huge architectural advancements, coupled with massive efficiency numbers, the DGX GB200 AI servers may see a much larger adoption rate, compared to what the Hopper lineup witnessed. It is now being reported that NVIDIA expects to mass-produce the GB200 servers by H2 2024, and with that, a whopping 40,000 units will circulate into the market by 2025.
Taiwan Economic Daily reveals that NVIDIA plans to divide the Blackwell DGX GB200 AI server supply into three different segments, notable ones being the DGX NVL72, NVL32, and HGX B200. The highest-end of all will reportedly be the NVL72, which will feature seventy-two units of NVIDIA's Blackwell B200 AI GPUs, along with the Grace Hopper chip onboard. It is disclosed that the single price of a DGX NVL72 cabinet is reported to be at around $3 million, and given that NVIDIA manages to sell 10,000 units of it, the company is expected to clock in $30 billion, just from the NVL72, not taking others into account for now.
Foxconn and Quanta are two big names that are expected to be responsible for most of the supply, and with that, Foxconn expects a significant upturn in server revenue, reportedly reaching 1 trillion yuan or $30 billion by 2025.
