E3 2022 isn't taking place this year, but numerous companies have stepped up to fill June with press conference-style events promising news, reveals, trailers, and gameplay for a wide variety of upcoming games. We're about halfway through the festivities at this point, but there are still more events to come, including perhaps the biggest of the bunch: the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, which starts at 10 AM PT today, June 12.
It's possible more events could still be confirmed--Nintendo has yet to announce its plans for a Direct, which we typically expect to see every June. Sony recently held a State of Play, but that wasn't focused on its non-VR first-party lineup There's still time for that to happen, as Capcom and Square Enix have only just recently confirmed that they will host events of their own in the coming days. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase--which might need a name workshop if the Activision Blizzard deal goes through--will be held on June 12 at 10 AM PT. This event will feature games and announcements from Microsoft's first-party studios, including Bethesda's roster, as well as third-party game announcements. It will likely run for about 90 minutes, going off previous presentations, and will be viewable on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and TikTok.
Microsoft's show is part of the Xbox FanFest series, which gives registered users a way to experience virtual and physical events with friends alongside prizes, extra content, and other goodies.
