The CEO of Nordisk Games Mikkel Weider is leaving the company after almost seven years.
The exec is taking a "breather" from his career but will be looking for opportunities in the future. A replacement for Weider is being sought right now, but in the mean time Allan Mathson Hansen is stepping up to be interim CEO.
“I am proud of what we have achieved in Nordisk Games," Weider said. "In just seven years we have built a whole new business area and a talented organization within Nordisk Film, added some of Europe’s finest game studios to our family and supported their successful development. I am grateful to my wonderful colleagues and all the great people in the game studios for their support and close collaboration.
“Having now achieved what we set out to do when Nordisk Games was founded, and considering the tasks that lie ahead, this is the right time for a change. I will be sad to leave but I am also excited about exploring the new opportunities that lies ahead. I am confident that Nordisk Games will continue to thrive in the best possible way.”
Nordisk Film CEO Allan Mathson Hansen added: “I have the deepest respect for Mikkel Weider and the results he has created by building Nordisk Games and its strong portfolio of game studios. He is a very skilled and well-liked executive with a true entrepreneurial mindset, and I want to thank him for his great contribution throughout the years.
