While the MCU’s Peter Parker has never shown any interest in photography, Doctor Strange’s spell at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home may have set up Peter’s future with the Daily Bugle. At the end of No Way Home, Peter instructed Doctor Strange to cast a spell that made everyone forget Peter Parker, which was the only way to close the rift in the multiverse. The spell saved the multiverse and made Spider-Man’s identity secret again. Unfortunately, all of Peter’s loved ones lost their memories, leaving him to start over on his own.
Although the full extent of Doctor Strange’s spell is not explained in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it seemed to delete media related to Peter Parker as well since the Daily Bugle no longer had any videos about him. Throughout No Way Home, the Daily Bugle caused severe problems for Peter, revealing his secret identity, turning the public against him, and even following him to Happy Hogan’s apartment. While it is normal for the Daily Bugle to hate Spider-Man, some fans were surprised that Peter never worked as a photographer for the news outlet in the MCU, given that that job was a core aspect of Spider-Man’s story.
