Nintendo has launched its Switch Year in Review tool, enabling players to view and share their gaming highlights of 2024.
The end of year wrap-up tool offers users a variety of personalized stats, recapping which games they played, when they did so and for how long.
It breaks down the number of hours they spent playing Switch each month and the user’s favourite genres based on what they played.
Players are also asked to pick their favourite game of the year, and given the option to download and share images showing off their stats.
And Nintendo wraps up the experience by recommending games the user might like based on what they’ve played previously.
Xbox’s Year In Review tool launched earlier this month, as did PlayStation’s 2024 Wrap-Up experience.
Nintendo has yet to officially reveal its Switch successor, but the company has confirmed plans to do so during its current fiscal year, which ends in March 2025.
Alleged images of Nintendo’s Switch successor appeared online in September, showing a design that’s not too dissimilar from the company’s current-gen console.
While the images are unverified, one source, who had not seen the final Switch 2 console but had been briefed on Nintendo’s plans, told VGC that the pictures matched what the company had told partners to expect from its design.
The images were also in line with earlier reports on Switch 2’s design. Previously, publications including VGC reported that Switch’s successor would include a larger 8-inch screen, and a Nintendo patent suggested that it would be opting for a new magnetic attachment for its controllers.
