Nintendo Switch Online adds cute holiday-themed profile icons
destructoid.comIt’s not time to barrel roll; instead, you should be celebrating by eating a Swiss roll as Nintendo Switch Online has added a bunch of adorable Holiday profile icons. You can use your silver coins on the service’s dedicated app to get them.
The Happy Holidays section of the Missions & Rewards tab shows you a bunch of Nintendo-themed festive cheers. There are icons that have Mario and Luigi with gifts in their hands. There are also some Holiday decorations surrounding Link, Isabelle, the Inkling, and Pikmin among others. Other icons include the adorable Pikmin carrying decorations and a Yoshi egg with a bow on it. They’re very cute.
Icons aren’t the only gifts available on this tab. You can get some lovely holiday backgrounds with festive colors and patterns. The icons are 10 silver coins each, while the backgrounds are five silver coins each.
You’ll want to be quick, however. These seasonal rewards will only last until December 25 at 4:59 p.m. Pacific. Make sure you get on the Nintendo Switch Online app and redeem them before it’s too late.
These Nintendo Switch Online holiday profile icons and backgrounds aren’t the only seasonal offerings from the Big N. There’s also a sale going on in the Nintendo eShop. Until December 3, you can get a 33% discount on games like Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Super Mario Odyssey. Bayonetta 3’s 30% off too. One of my favorite Nintendo games of the year Fire Emblem Engage (yes, it did come out in 2023!) has a 30% discount as well.
